My Scuba diving experience at Sitra Bahrain
My Scuba
diving experience at Sitra Bahrain
Scuba
diving is a type of underwater diving whereby divers use breathing equipment
that is completely independent of a surface air supply. The name
"scuba", an acronym for "Self-Contained Underwater Breathing
Apparatus", was coined by Christian J. Lambertsen in a patent submitted in
1952. Scuba divers carry their own source of breathing gas, usually compressed
air, affording them greater independence and movement than surface-supplied
divers, and more time underwater than free divers.
My self
and family decided to go to Scuba diving at sitra Bahrain.it is around 200 km
from Saudi Arabia. Through KING FAHAD CAUSE WAY after immigration check we
reached Bahrain
KING FAHAD CAUSE WAY (short note)
1986, the
causeway has streamlined commerce and strengthened cultural and
social bonds between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
- Total length: 25 KM (16 miles)
- Width: 23 meter (75 feet)
- Constructed by: Ballast Nedam (Dutch based construction company)
- Construction Cost: US $ 800 million
After 2 hours driving we reached Bahrain.
We have booked a resort, our boat and scuba trainer was waiting for us at the resort. To reach scuba diving spot we must 20 km on boat.
Our trainer is a Bahraini and has 8-10 years of experience in diving. The cost of diving is 500 SAR with 2-3 hours of diving experience. Basically scuba diving is adventurous. He gave us a class on how to take breathe at under water, what are the diving signals for communicating at under water. What are costume we should wear. How to read oxygen cylinder meter gauge. The total wait of diving apparatus is 20-22 KG including weights.
After reaching
at scuba diving spot we wore our breathing apparatus including oxygen cylinder.
At ist we need to practice breathing at low level water, later on we can go to
deep and deeper after full confidence, scuba diving is a simple technique that
we can learn in 2 hours of time
